On this composition

A painting, before the light.

The bridge coming and going in the fog, its towers stated then lost. A single red bus crosses. Sandhya Kaushik works nearly the whole canvas in pewter and warm grey, drops the paint thickness right down in the mist so the canvas grain shows through, then loads one or two lamps and the bus in pure colour.

Restrained and atmospheric. It suits a panelled room, a study or a hallway where a quieter picture is right.
