On this composition
A painting, before the light.
Two horses graze with heads lowered, a larger one on the left and a smaller one on the right, standing on a strip of ground marked with tufts of dry grass. The horses are grey-green with rust marks, on soft grey-cream and pale sand. The sky is built from thick, ridged slabs of paint, and the horses are modelled in short, heavy strokes.
Suits a living room, dining room or country-style bedroom, working well above a sofa, bench or long sideboard.

Every size this painting is offered in, drawn to scale against the furniture it suits and against a six-foot person. One scale for everything shown.
Drawn to scale, one scale for every object shown. Gap and centre follow interior-design convention — 6–10″ above the furniture, the painting 66–85% of the furniture’s width. The largest sizes are statement pieces for a wall of their own. Furniture shown for scale only; not included.

The questions we are asked most
Is this a painting or a print?
An original painting. It is hand-painted on canvas by Sandhya Kaushik after you order, at the size you choose. It is not a print or a reproduction, and it comes signed, with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Will it look exactly like the photograph?
Very close, but not identical. Every painting is made by hand, so brushwork, texture and small details differ from the photographs, and colours vary between screens. That is the nature of an original painting and is not a defect.
When will it arrive?
It is handmade after you order and delivered in 12 to 18 days, in India or abroad (abroad: plus any time in customs). See the shipping policy.
Which finish should I choose?
Stretched arrives ready to hang. Floater framed, in black or gold, adds a frame around the canvas. Rolled travels in a tube, which suits international orders, and can be stretched by a local framer.
Can I have a size that is not listed?
Often, yes. WhatsApp the studio with your wall size; the size, finish, price and timeline are confirmed with you before you pay anything.
Do you deliver outside India?
Yes, to 28 countries, rolled in a tube. The delivery charge is shown at checkout before you pay. Import duties and taxes in the destination country are payable by the recipient.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, free of charge, within 24 hours of ordering or at any time before painting begins. Once painting has begun it is a one-of-one piece and cannot be cancelled. See the cancellation and refund policy.
What if it arrives damaged?
Write to us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the painting and the packaging. We arrange the return pickup at our cost and replace the painting or refund you in full, as you prefer.
Is GST included?
Yes. Every price includes GST, and a GST invoice comes with every order.
