VRINDAVAN LANE WITH FESTIVAL FLAGS — ORIGINAL IMPRESSIONIST CANVAS PAINTING
On this composition
A painting, before the light.
A narrow lane in Vrindavan in bright midday light. A pointed archway gateway frames the view down the gali, where a sadhu in saffron walks away from us toward the sun. Strings of orange and yellow festival flags cross overhead, terracotta pots of green plants line both sides, and a small shrine niche is set into the pale pink wall at the left. Sandhya Kaushik builds the worn walls in thick, broken palette-knife strokes of cream, rose and ochre, the lit floor in warm gold, the flags in clean dabs of colour.
The receding arch and warm light give the tall format real depth. It suits a hallway, an entry, or a kitchen passage where a long sunlit view opens the wall.
